Study sets

Everything for the test.
Made from your material.

Say what the test is and hand Groply the material for it. It writes the flash cards, the study sheet, the quiz and the practice paper, then stays open to questions on every line of what it wrote.

01

What comes back

One set. Everything in it built from the same material.

Tick what you want and Groply writes it, from your notes rather than from a general version of the topic. They arrive as tabs along the top of the set, in the order you picked them.

  • Flash cardsOne idea per card, flipped and clicked through.
  • Study sheetThe whole thing written out, to revise from.
  • QuizQuestions that mark themselves and explain the answer.
  • Practice testA mock paper with marks, answers held back to the end.
  • SummaryThe short version, read in about four minutes.

Every set you make stays in your account for good, on every plan including the free one. Nothing you have made is ever put behind a payment.

02

Ask it anything

Then it explains what it wrote.

Pick any line of any document in the set and ask about that line. Groply already has the material, so it answers on your notes rather than on the topic in general, and the thread stays with the set.

  • Ask about one line without re-explaining the whole set
  • It can turn what you asked into more cards, or a question to answer
  • Come back next week and the thread is still under the document

03

The rest of it

Three more things, said plainly.

Named rather than demonstrated, because a page that animates everything is a page nobody reaches the end of. Everything above this line you can watch. Everything below it you can go and try.

  • CoursesHand over a term of material and get a lesson plan back: chapters, lessons under them, and a tick against each one as you finish it.
  • PodcastsNewAny set can also come back as an episode, two voices talking your material through, for the walk in or the bus.
  • Anything elseStudy is the front door, not the whole house. Put an essay, a problem set or some code that will not run on the bench and it comes back with the working attached.

04

Questions

The ones worth asking.

Is it free?

To start, yes. The free plan is 5 runs a day on the fast model. Paid plans lift the daily limit and put you on the stronger ones, and the sets you have already made are never affected by which plan you are on.

Does it just do my homework for me?

It writes the documents, and then it hands you the reasoning behind them, and then it tests you on it. That is a deliberate shape. Handing in something you cannot explain is a bad trade whoever wrote it, so the questions are not an optional extra you switch on: the quiz marks itself and tells you why, and the buddy will argue with you about any line of any document in the set.

What can I give it?

Lecture slides, a chapter as a PDF, your own typed notes, a photo of the whiteboard, a past paper. Say what the test is in the same box, and everything Groply makes comes out of what you handed it rather than out of a stock bank of questions about the subject.

What happens to what I upload?

It is stored against your account so you can come back to it, and the privacy policy says exactly what is kept, for how long, and how to have it removed. It is written in plain words rather than in the usual language, because a policy nobody can read is not a policy.

Do I have to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser you already have open. There is no download, and there is no extension that wants to read every page you visit.

Put the test in.

Whatever is coming up, and whatever you have for it. You will have the set back before you have finished making a coffee.
